Goodbye Golden Oak......Hello Modern!!

Our most recent kitchen upgrade featured golden oak cabinets in need of a new modern look! Our client chose Benjamin Moore Coventry Gray which is a very neutral gray that can look great in just about any space. The industrial quality paint we use, Milesi, can be tinted to any Benjamin Moore color! Notice how the flooring really stands out! New modern black metal handles were also chosen for all the doors and drawer fronts. I love the look of the larger handles!

The Process

Doors were removed and thoroughly cleaned and sanded. Old hardware holes were filled as necessary and new hardware holes were drilled prior to priming and painting. For this kitchen we used 2 coats of vinyl primer followed by 2 coats of Milesi paint. Prior to returning the doors, we carefully wrapped them for shipping. See a sneak peak of that below! Also, check out the before pictures! Notice the gold ceiling. Our clients worked so hard to get it painted while we worked on doors in our shop. The new white ceiling and lights look amazing with the new paint!

Quality Check

The last thing we do in every kitchen we complete is a quality check of our work. We pride ourselves in doing top notch work to make each customer happy. All doors and drawers are double checked and we install bumper pads on all of them to protect the cabinets. We think our process makes us stand out! Notice how the old oak did not bring out the beauty of the countertop or backsplash. The gold ceiling was beautiful but it blended right in with the oak!
